Volunteer/Ministry Opportunities

The people of the Mill Plain United Methodist Church are very active with various missions throughout the community.  Below are just a few of the ways you can get involved in helping us to give back.

             ...and more!

Mill Plain UMC Christian Preschool

Mill Plain UMC Preschool -- Our Philosophy:

Mill Plain United Methodist Christian Preschool is a program designed to nurture a love for learning in the young child.

We believe the primary responsibility for the education of children lies with the parents, at the same time we acknowledge the important role of the church.  We therefore see the school as an extension of the church and a partner of the home.

We believe a child's education, like a house, is built upon a foundation (Matthew 7:24; Luke 6:48).  We endeavor to integrate Christianity with academics in laying the groundwork for that foundation.

Each child is encouraged to learn at a pace suited to his or her own ability.  When children are challenged with high expectations, they respond with enthusiasm to learning.

Children's Sunday School, Nursery & More

The whole family, including children, are always welcome at Mill Plain United Methodist Church services!  For those who choose, however, we do provide a wonderful Sunday school program during the worship time, and nursery care is always available for ages newborn to pre-K.
